Kai Men Videos
Kai Men, also known as Chinese Yoga, means ‘open doors’. Stretching is used to open the energy gates or doors. These are the spaces between the joints, but also the energetic openings such as the lau gung on the palms and the yong quan on the soles of the feet. These exercises are always in 2 parts. In the sequence, a gentle stretch moves the qi to the energy doors. In the extension, the aim is to open the doors and allow the qi to move through. Opening your doors on a regular basis allows our qi to flow freely. We experience stuck qi as knots, tension, pain, sadness, anger or other emotions. Qi that flows smoothly on the other hand, makes us feel alive, energised and joyful.
